Occupational freedom

It has come to attention of many people that Iranian people face double standards in work places or when looking for employment. one of many common signs seen across advertisements posted daily are either offices that are looking for young graduated females and or strictly single woman. Some have claimed there has been issues with Husbands interfering with work places, some have reported less issues with married woman and there is not a single data stats that articulates the issue precisely.

some have claimed that finding job as secretary which is very common for woman has become a form “wife hunting” in Iran where Rich business man essentially look for relationships with no string attached.

A comprehensive report by Human Rights, have reported that although over course of past years number of female students have become double in Iran, but over 64% employment rate that is male, only about 15% of female graduates are employed! follow this review and report below:

There are clear articles inside the law that describes some jobs such as firefighter, police, judge and such jobs are not suitable to woman due to physical and emotional limitations compare to man. although in Article 38 of law, Regime notes woman and men are entilited to same wage and protection and insurance in Job, it seems that despite of this law being broken on daily basis, Regime supports it indirectly and has no word changing or updating its outdated and loose ends on support of woman in finding job.

What i like to point that is that I believe some of the Islamic Laws, such as hijab do act a significance in terms of creating discrimination or space for harassment in workplaces. Obviously Regime is never going to tell people they are free not to wear Hijab, its an absolute rule, but basically it restricts the woman themselves, which brings them a thirst for freedom, also it causes companies not to hire them because their look and style may not be representative or fit the islamic rules.

I hope for the they day, that Iran goes secular and woman gain their lost rights.
