Prejudice and Stereotypes In Iran

As have studied prejudice, stereotypes and other concepts of culture in society  and implications of it such as the construction of culture in society in relation to identity and so on and as well by studying through the text book, I have realized I am more familiar in facing other cultures now.

According to Holliday, Hyde and Kullaman (2010), is discussing that in all the societies there are different ways of culture construction in terms of Self and Other which are accepted through the different processes. “Language learning and Identity” Holiday, Hyde and Kullaman is discussing how individuals are trying to adopt to a new society by lose of identity at first and reconstruction of it. I feel that this statement applied to how government and authorities have been well/partially successful in maintenance of Islamic revolution spirit among people. They have been trying to reconstruct it constantly over the years by asking people to come to streets at yearly celebration of revolution. A simple but influential reconstruction task.

language is the only bridge which will connect two person two each other in first step. In the second step Identity has an important role in becoming self other. Adopting to a new culture and accepting it, needs individuals to have a non essentialism view of International marriage in order to be able to dealing with a new culture. Holliday, Hyde and Kullaman think that people cannot deal with a new culture rationally therefore there will be always a problem which will be unsolved. Due to stereotypes and prejudices, however sometimes stereotypes might sound positive but still people will have negative altitude about certain social group. For Example, I believe Rouahni did give people faith in their voices, as He claimed he will work toward making Iran Better. but Unfortunately the progress has been slow.

My researches were focused on media representations of current state of Iran by Government. As I researched about Iranand media representations of it, however there are not enough main sources to explain issues of i\ in detail, mostly people are able to observe and share their findings, there can be multiple shares of single issue, thus it becomes very hard to identity the significance of the issue itself, tho the local news agencies will refuse to provide details on many things because they will be simply closed and arrested.
