Problems Of Education

No7, Ministry Of Education, Behesht Zahra, Az negahban bepors, Mige

Mr. Seyd Shahid Mohamad Taghi Poor Soltan Abadi Haftom

Greeting and with full respect, It is my duty as an Iranian who is living outside of country for years  to share my own ideas and opinions about the situation of education of The Islamic Republic of  Iran. In last few wakes I heard about announcement from the Ministry of education which they want to make some changes in education systems and it is about to mix High-school and Primary school and changes in our lessons.

I am very concerned about the risk of mixing high school which includes 3 grades, to the Pre High-Schools which includes 3 grades.  It should be clear for everyone that this decision means, in this situation, students from 13 to 18 years old must be together in a same place. So it would be hard to take them under control because we know that how is different  the type of thinking of an 18 years old student (as an Adult) and a 13 or 14 years old student.  If we take look at our Schools we can understand that we have still a lot of unsolved problems in our high school between students. Let alone the Universities where it seems everyone is unhappy even in a so called GOOD DAY. For example I can say that nowadays most of the students in high school are using Urban Language (which include a wide range of street slangs) when they are talking to each other and it can have huge effect on 13 to 15 years old students (that using ordinary Persian language) if we put them in a same place. In addition 18 years olds are in a crisis situations of their life and they want to explore more than their frontiers because they do not like to be in a bubble which do not allow them to go beyond and also they going to learn and understand many new things and in my opinion it can be dangerous for 13 or 14 years old students to hear this things from an adult because it is clear for everyone they are still too young and they must be under guidance. With these probabilities I think that it is not a good work to mix these two different students to each other.

Look at the situation in universities ?

people does not believe education in Iran is important due to fact that many people without degrees are making millions of dollar everyday from the Sickness of Economy or Simply corruption. Jobs dont exist, money do not cycle, so what is the point of studying at university ? and then the article below articulates there are 5000 detained university students since 2009 protest and till today they are under investigation and so on for many reasons. the article also mentions the weight of investigation are so much that courts cant handle the amount of work that is coming to them ?

is this really the problem of our country ? nothing is your fault i believe.

I heard that MOE in Tehran decided to make some changes in high school, secondary and elementary books which according to this decisions all the female pictures must be removed from the books (in boy’s book) and also all the male pictures must be removed from girl’s books and also according to this decision boys and girls will not be together even in elementary schools and it means that you want to cut the healthier relationships between students and take the feeling of love out of students in their hearts and then fill them with religious things more than standard. I feel that to cut the connections between boys and girls will be a very big problem because it is clear when somebody is enforced on not doing something he will eventually do it so without any guidance,.  It will bring a dangerous situation in our schools . It appointed that Social Science must be limited to Islamic studies and anything beyond is a taboo. bascially people are not meant to be open minded.

According to the last reports from Iran’s leader (ayatollah ali khamenei) Ministry Of education should make some changes in philosophy studies which nowadays made some problems in the situations of Iran’s leaders. We know that those who study philosophy or social science or Arts based on philosophies are open minded people who can think beyond the frontiers of anything and also they are able to analyze current problems in a country which is the most dangerous thing for the stability of a country. So these types of people which include almost 35 percent of Iran’s population can be a leader to push people to understand some of the problems. In other hand they can highlight what is incorrect and what is correct in a country for people. So if Leader’s of ministry of education in Iran decide to make some changes in these fields, it means to remove or connect them to the religious (Islam) and it is the meaning of inboxing and make frontiers for people’s mind which can be a dangerous problem in future. And nowadays whole the education system is under the control of the religious leaders of Iran and they order to each school to teach religious lesson to the students even elementary and even in universities and also students who are studying business or design or…. in universities. It means that our education system have some points, if mean Political ways, they want to work on people minds from the time that they are still a child to do not be dangerous for government in future.

I believe that one day you will be the person who must have answers for what you did so I recommend to you that it is better to be careful with your decisions. In my opinions these three problems are the most important problems that we have in our country and I know that these decisions are have a connection to the nowadays situations and I think that I should tell you about this things and what will happen in future.

Sincerely Yours
